Prophet Abraham (PBUH) left Egypt joined by his nephew Lut (PBUH), who then went to the city of Sodom (Sadum), which was on the western shore of the Dead Sea. This city was loaded with abhorrence. Its occupants waylaid, burglarized and executed explorers. Another regular underhandedness among them was that men had intercourse with men rather than with ladies. This unnatural demonstration later got to be known as homosexuality (after the city of Sodom). It was rehearsed straightforwardly and unashamedly. It was at the stature of these violations and sins that Allah uncovered to Prophet Lut (PBUH) that he ought to summon the general population to surrender their revolting conduct, yet they were so profoundly soaked in their improper propensities that they were hard of hearing to Lut's proclaiming. Overwhelmed in their unnatural yearnings, they declined to tune in, notwithstanding when Lut cautioned them of Allah's discipline. Rather, they undermined to drive him out of the city in the event that he continued lecturing.
